Not Staff. 10
There’s a certain air of mystery that descends on the gaming community this time of year. Everyone has their fingers crossed that the new edition of their favorite game will live up to their expectations and a flood of rumors and speculations generally hits us like a sack of bricks in the face. Call Of Duty is a name that evokes strong emotion in gamers. Some swear by the love for the game and the yearly installments. Others are indifferent to it, they don’t particularly love or hate it. And yet some despise the franchise with every ounce of their being, and would love nothing more than to see it completely obliterated. While that may sound quite extreme, it’s no doubt all sides are aware that we’re just a week or two away from Call Of Duty: Black Ops II. *This is my first article submission, if there is anything that needs to be fixed or changed format wise or text wise be sure to tell me. Badfur 13
A few things. First, awesome that you have a submission in so soon, but to avoid duplicates, it is usually best to not write about something we've already covered. We had a writer write about Black Ops 2 a while ago. Fortunately for you, he did a horrendous job at it, so I'm perfectly fine with another article being written. Your article, however is very short, and I KNOW there is more out there on the subject. Please try to lengthen the article. Center all your articles. There’s a certain air of mystery that descends on the gaming community this time of year. Everyone has their fingers crossed that the new edition of their favorite game will live up to their expectations and a flood of rumors and speculations generally hits us like a sack of bricks in the face. Straight up you haven't written anything. This is more like a series of statements. That is the previous article. It could use a variety of improvements. IF you could expand your article to actually include information in it, and if you don't try to outright copy someone else's work, THEN perhaps you could get an article written in a decent manner. That said, what you have here isn't much of anything.
 Awards

While that may sound quite extreme, it’s no doubt all sides are aware that we’re just a week or two away from Call Of Duty: Black Ops II. In anticipation for the release of the upcoming Black Ops 2, on October 21, GameTrailers released a new “Bonus Round†based on the new features that Treyarch will be implementing into the the game. Any fan of the “Call of Duty†franchise that has been following the news around “Black Ops 2,†will know that Treyarch has implemented a variety of new changes into the game, in an attempt to redefine the “Call of Duty†franchise. In addition to this, Treyarch's David Vonderhaar also revealed a few details surrounding the implementation of the Capture the Flag mode for “Black Ops 2.â€Below, you will find the details that were stated by Vonderhaar, via Twitter: Black Ops 2 natively supports what is often called "stop watch" in CTF. It is a very neat way to settle Overtime disputes. Short version. 2 OT rounds. In the 1st round, a capture "sets the time to beat" for the 2nd OT round. Teams switch sides every round. It's a game mode option in Customs/LAN and on by default for the 4x4 League Play playlist. We call that the "Champions Series." Implementing a new and innovative take on overtime in Capture the Flag mode, this is just another way that Treyarch is attempting to bring something new to the “Call of Duty†franchise. One of the most anticipated features for “Black Ops 2,†along with the multiplayer experience, is obviously the implementation of “Zombie Mode.†With the release of this title, Treyarch will be implementing a variety of new features for this game mode, as well as additional game types. Treyarch has announced three game types for “Black Ops 2 Zombies,†which include Tranzit, Survival, and Grief. Below, you can see how Treyarch's Zielinski describes each of these game types. The story mode, Tranzit is a huge map with a number of different areas to explore, all of which are connected by a bus route. The bus route is also part of the world and can be explored, either on foot, or by bus, which travels to each of the areas of the map. You’ll meet a few new characters, some new zombies and fight them off using weapons ranging from new near-future weapons, some faithful stand-bys and a few wunderweapons. Ultimately, strategy is the name of the game here. When playing Survival, the team has taken the individual areas and tailored them for classic survival play. The individual Survival areas are adaptations of the locations in Tranzit, but they’ve been designed to accommodate survival-style play. Finally, there’s Grief, or what we like to call “4Z4.†There are two human teams that go head-to-head; however, they can’t kill one another – they can only fight to repel the oncoming zombie horde. The name of this game is “last man standing†– whoever is left, that team wins. So to achieve this, we provide some griefing mechanics that enable teams to “encourage “zombies to cast their attention on the other team. If used properly, the other team won’t be able to overcome the zombie attack and the remaining team will be left victorious. Between Tranzit, Survival and Grief, there is an absolute ton of gameplay here – Zombies is really its own stand-alone game. Since the initial release of “Call of Duty Zombies†with “World at War,†fans of the series have developed a love for this game mode. Finally, Treyarch has decided to give Zombie Mode the attention that it deserves with the development of “Black Ops 2.†Thanks ~KSI MIX3R * I've worked on this all night. I hope it is a little better. Badfur 13
There is a lot of excess space in there. As I said, center your article. That's a lot of separate little bits and pieces. Combine them together and make an article out of it. There is plenty of information, the point of an article is to provide something easy to read that conveys information that might be useful or informative to whomever is reading. Please revise this and edit the format to make it actually sound like an article.
 Awards

While typically all articles are supposed to be ready for publishing today (and you only signed up a few days ago-omg!), a great portion of the news team is taking cover for Hurricane Sandy (including Mr. Badfur) and one is doing finals today, and he's the one (Twahl/ xQs) that would like to finish up editing your article, so it unfortunately will roll past today. However, don't worry. First weeks are typically awkward and getting used to how things work, but Hurricane Sandy is making things a bit rougher. Thanks for the amazing work thus far!!! Badfur 13
Titles are italicized. Putting them in quotes looks terrible, among other things. Use a single quote if you are quoting something within a quote. Example: "Last week we talked about 'this thing' and it was awesome." You also have a lot of useless quotation marks. In addition to this, Treyarch's game designer director,  David Vonderhaar, also revealed a few details surrounding the implementation of the Capture the Flag mode for “Black Ops 2.â€Below, you will find the details that were stated by Vonderhaar, via Twitter: "Black Ops 2 natively supports what is often called 'stop watch' in CTF. It is a very neat way to settle Overtime disputes. Short version. 2 OT rounds." In the 1st round, a capture 'sets the time to beat' for the 2nd OT round.  Teams switch sides every round." "It's a game mode option in Customs/LAN and on by default for the 4x4 League Play playlist. We call that the 'Champions Series.'" Implementing a new and innovative take on overtime in Capture the Flag mode, is just another way that Treyarch is attempting to bring something new to the “Call of Duty†franchise. One of the most anticipated features for “Black Ops 2â€,  along with the multiplayer experience, is the implementation of “Zombie Mode.†With the release of this title, Treyarch will be implementing a variety of new features for this game mode, as well as additional game types. Treyarch has announced three game types for “Black Ops 2 Zombies,†which include Tranzit, Survival, and Grief. Below, you can see a interview how Treyarch's game designer director, Jimmy Zielinski describes how each of these game types work: "The story mode, Tranzit is a huge map with a number of different areas to explore, all of which are connected by a bus route. " "The bus route is also part of the world and can be explored, either on foot, or by bus, which travels to each of the areas of the map." " You’ll meet a few new characters, some new zombies and fight them off using weapons ranging from new near-future weapons, some faithful stand-bys and a few wunderweapons. Ultimately, strategy is the name of the game here." "When playing Survival, the team has taken the individual areas and tailored them for classic survival play. " "The individual Survival areas are adaptations of the locations in Tranzit, but they’ve been designed to accommodate survival-style play." "Finally, there’s Grief, or what we like to call “4Z4.†There are two human teams that go head-to-head; however, they can’t kill one another – they can only fight to repel the oncoming zombie horde. " "The name of this game is “last man standing†– whoever is left, that team wins. So to achieve this, we provide some griefing mechanics that enable teams to “encourage “zombies to cast their attention on the other team. If used properly, the other team won’t be able to overcome the zombie attack and the remaining team will be left victorious." Between Tranzit, Survival and Grief, there is an absolutely a ton of gameplay available;Zombies is really its own stand-alone game. Since the initial release of “Call of Duty Zombies†in “World at War", fans of the series have developed a love for this game mode. Finally, Treyarch has decided to give Zombie Mode the attention that it deserves with the development of “Black Ops 2.†Sources: http://www.g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/post/729092/black-ops-2-zombie-mode-interview-learning-how-to-survive-the-new-modes/ http://gamingbolt.com/call-of-duty-black-ops-2-zombie-mode-and-capture-the-flag-detailed Thanks ~KSI MIX3R How's this? Everyone has their fingers crossed that the new edition of their favorite game will live up to their expectations as a flood of rumors and speculations generally hits us like a sack of bricks in the face. Call Of Duty is a name that evokes strong emotion in gamers. Some swear by the love for the game and the yearly installments; while others are indifferent to it. Some people even despise the franchise with every ounce of their being, and would love nothing more than to see it completely obliterated. While that may sound quite extreme, it’s no doubt all sides are aware that we’re less than 10 days away from the releasing of  Call Of Duty: Black Ops II.
