On September 18th 2012 Borderlands 2 hit video game store shelves nationwide. As 1.25 million dollars’ worth of pre-orders were filled even more money rolled in from a developing fan base crazy for 2K’s newest smash hit. Receiving scores like 9.75 from Game Informer and 9/10 from IGN, it is evident critics believe the games developer Gearbox has succeeded in improving on the concepts it created a few short years ago. In this article I will be discussing the past and present storyline, the modifications Gearbox has implemented, and the future of Borderlands 2.

In the original title Borderlands the main objective of the protagonist (depending on which class the player chooses) is to find The Vault; an ancient treasure trove filled with priceless guns and riches. With the help of an A.I. named the Guardian Angel the player navigates through the hellish borderlands towards The Vault only to ultimately learn the only thing it contains is a tentacle monster which the player must then defeat. Borderlands 2 begins a few years after the events concerning The Vault where the player learns that it did in fact contain a treasure; Eridium. The planet Pandora is now full of this priceless element attracting the attention of the games antagonist; Handsome Jack. By navigating through Pandora collecting guns, gaining stats, and teaming up with the 4 character options from the last game, the players new goal is to kill Handsome Jack freeing Pandora from his tyranny and benefiting from his wealth. Hopefully for the gamers sake this games ending is much less

anticlimactic than the last.

Borderlands 2 is rich in guns like no other game on the market. The loot generator the game uses produces random loot dependent on different variables at any given moment. The original generator in the first game was able to produce a variety of guns; approximately 17.75 million different stats, elements, parts, and colors. Although the exact gun count for BL2 is not currently known, producer Randy Pitchford stated “the variation in Borderlands 2 is much largerâ€. A player to player trade system has also been added along with new vehicles built to carry up to 4 players. Enemies are now much more realistic and interesting to kill. They are now able to interact with each other and the environment, and take different physical damage/can be impaired depending on where they are hurt.

This is not finished, but more than halfway done. I will be editing this post with the finished version sometime tomorrow.

RPG players often ask themselves what they will do once they have killed the badguys and won the game. Gearbox has announced it will be releasing 4 DLC packages between now and June, each one increasing the leveling capacity of your character by 50 levels. Furthermore, some downloadable content will include brand new characters to play with, new vehicles to kill with, and new areas to explore in. The first in the line of new game content is expected in November and will contain amongst other things the Mechromancer class. Gamers can either buy each DLC as they come out or purchase a season pass at a reduced cost now for a limited time.

Remember to center your articles. Also, various additions of commas, apostrophes, and so on.

Also note: If you are getting this information from somewhere, I personally find providing a link to it helps the readers. It also reassures them that you aren't just making the numbers up. I did it a lot when referencing specific things in my

Guild Wars 2 article.

Fix those, and it's good to go.
