Guide to Productions

Welcome to the Productions Department!!!

 

As a member of this department, you will contribute to creating amazing content that will be utilized across multiple social platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, Facebook and Twitter under the KSI Global banner. As a new member, it can be tricky on what exactly the job details as well as posting on the Calendar and setting up your streams for KSILive/KSILive2.

 

Requirement of Staff Members each month:

       

• Minimum 2 streams per month. Must be scheduled on the KSI Calendar 48 hours in advance.
• Minimum age of 18+ to Join    Productions. 17 and under will need  special approval from upper leadership 
• Impromptu streams may occur only if no one is on the KSI Calendar.
• While 2 is the minimum it doesn’t always show full activity, you must be active in the discord (pay attention to team_talk regularly) and never be afraid to go above and beyond.
• If you’re not having a good time streaming for Productions rethink why you’re in the department.
• 1 check-in per month with the Department Head.
• Get activated/title changed 30 minutes to 1 hour before your stream is set to begin so there’s no problem.
• All streams must be advertised in some way, shape, or form (i.e. ksiforums.org chatbox).
• Productions meeting is every first Saturday of every month at 10pm EST.
• As a member of the Productions Department, you are required to submit at least one clip to the "Clip Submission" each month.

 

Roles and Assignments 

• Streamer – ensuring they are meeting their monthly streaming quota as well as streaming all weekend warfare and KSI events as possible. (*Some games do not allow a spectator mode*)
• Editors – Editing videos, Completing Requests for both KSI (*Departments or Events*)

 

How to schedule a stream on the KSI Calendar 

1. Go to the Calendar - http://www.ksiforums.org/calendar/
2. Click on the blue Create Event button 
3. Select Productions/KSILive from the drop down menu. Press continue. 
4. Select the date and time of the stream using your current time. 
5. Enter a Title and Description
6. Click the Submit and event button at the bottom of the page. 

Please Note - If you are streaming in the middle of the night, communicate this and get activated earlier.

 

How to stream via Xbox

If you need to be activated on Xbox:

Press home button>Capture & Share>Live streaming> Copy 8 digit code (Example *LKQKFBLP*) > Post code in.

Please remember to be activated 30mins to and hour before your scheduled stream.

How to stream via Capture Card

1. First contact the Dept. Head/ Co-Head for the KSILIVE stream key
2. You then start up your streaming application such as OBS, Stream labs, etc.
3. Then you go to the settings and paste the stream key in its correct area (Please see YouTube on where to put the stream key).
4. For ALL STREAMS, you may have to ask the Dept. Head/Co-Head to set your title or game your on to the twitch channel before streaming.
5. Please remember that while you are streaming you are responsible for upholding the KSI Code of Conduct always!
