JESSI ♥ 13 Posted May 19, 2015 Report Share Posted May 19, 2015 News Team 18-05-15 KSI Jessi is new Co-head Editor – Parable (The first person who will edit and review stories for the writers) Taking our time with stories: It is important to take your time to write your stories well, make sure you edit and proof read before you finalize it. - Spirit Week – Goal is to ask every writer to take an aspect of Spirit Week and before spirit week we will post them, interact with members some suggestions include favorite event, best memory, what makes it special etc. Spirit Week coverage must be as soon as possible within couple hours not a day recap due to the rapid amount of events one after the other. Requirement to cover each day for spirit week, if you are competing in an event, you do not cover it so make sure you do not volunteer to cover it. Same with Weekend Warfare if you are competing in it, you should not write about it. (Can be posted by Sunday- Monday) Posting on the news site – As of now every other day as this allows slots for breaking news. Flex scheduled for breaking news/quick hits. E3 Live blogging – get a team of 3 so you can alternate between each other for live coverage Opinion Pieces – All for it. As long it does not involve Religion or Politics and no intentional flame. Example opinion pieces for E3 your thoughts on it. Have fun and experiment with content/writing styles. When writing stories always use MICROSOFT WORD and use grammar & Spell checker. 2 stories per month, 4 stories max. Quick hits do not count. Quick Hits – Use your judgment, make sure you keep an eye out for cool videos, mostly gaming related, as we are all gamers. Comment, support and advertise our content for more members to review the site. We put work into these stories so make sure you support each other. Building up on our space so our members can come back for more content. When doing member profiles, we must find them and interview them. Approach our members and find those awesome stories, we have members who have cool and intricate stories and we should document them and share them. When you do a profile you must have a centered point, what can we take away from this story. Lets mix it up and interview a range of our members, don’t just stick with 7s. Find people who are recommended and may have a story to tell. Start planning the next week or two on what you want to write about. If you cannot reach the 2 stories, communicate to us and you’re good. Communication is KEY. Self-deadlines – If you set yourself a deadline try to meet it and if you cannot reach it, communicate to us. 3 tiers stories Good story – content on anything Really good story– gaming related Excellent Story – tie it to KSI Newsroom – Chat available to News team, use it and keep an eye out for any questions asked by the team. Ideas for stories on the forums. Great place to post suggestions so try utilizing it. Two meetings in the month of June: First week of June and second will be discussed and announced. If you have an idea of a story for the month, make a post, add a title and schedule it in the calendar so everyone else is aware of what you are doing and there is no repetition.
