Articles are edited on a first come first serve basis. The sooner you submit it, the sooner it can be edited, so you can revise it.. If you wait until the last moment, it's a lot of work to be done in a short period of time. It is easier to just get it done ahead of time. First drafts are due no later than Friday, with final draft being due by Sunday. Also, we don't really use this thread to chat. Most of it is done on skype.

Hey News Team, I am writing my article now and although I am only in the second paragraph I will try and have a rough draft done by tomorrow. Sorry for the delay.

Don't get so personal.

You didn't do anything wrong, and our conversation should have been over PM, but whatever.

But yeah, you didn't do anything, just don't scare applicants away like that.

Some people may freak out on how harsh it may seem.

My apologies, that is also something that has changed since I was in. We
always used to provide feedback during the application process in case
someone says no they have a reason why. I'll stay out of it from now on,
simply yes or no.

It's Friday.  Topics in by Sunday, please, with a submission in the News Room next week (by Friday).

Ok I had to choose a topic about something and I wasn't informed about it until four days before the topic was due. Is there anyway that somebody can keep the news team updates coming to me or somewhere I can go to always stay informed about projects, articles, etc..?

Awards

I believe you mean 4 days after the topic was due.  Last sunday, as in, March 3rd, topics were due.  Tomorrow, March 8th, an article draft needs to be posted.

We're making Jezrien an editor on a trial basis, he will be editing articles for you guys.  I've given him a few tests to see how he does, and he's fairly decent at it.  I will still be around, reviewing work and giving advice, but for now Jezrien will be doing some editing.
