Yeah, so we have worked things out between ourselves now, and have re-affirmed that no awards are given out retroactively (this is for awards never awarded before, there's a slight difference), so if you loose eligibility (typical example changing gamer tag) or leave the community, you will have to re-earn the awards before nominating for them. Hopefully this will clarify things for us (and I hope to have a new reworked guide topic up and running too where this will be included), since this has been an inofficial rule but not really announced before.

That is a very real possibility, but I still am waiting for someone to explain if/which are requests to carry over awards from .com (and for pastries to handle that request in the appropriate manner) or if/which are requests of new awards for things he's done here before he left. Unfortunately all those requests sort of ended up jumbled and with poor detail as to what was what. 

But as soon as that clarification is made, we'll be handling the requests accordingly.

from my understanding the only three awards he is requesting from .com are the ones he took a picture of, the rest may have occured in that time frame but the awards may not have existed at the time....but i am there with you guys, i went digging in there archive area and found things to validate his statements but again no #'s or specifics anywhere.  his time frame ones should be fine, again no proof but he was an active member from 06-11 before becoming less frequent. Pastries has been around for over a decade, but dont think he ever ventured into the award territory.

 

Also i got all the awards uploaded last night, if you guys see one i missed lmk, there were a few that the image was not available for but they were mostly ones you can purchase in the economy system back in the day

Thanks for getting the awards back. There's one among your awards (education 101), I'll see if I find more. As for the older ones, let me know which ones and I'll double check them against the back up Scottie sent me and Riiot a while back

Looking through the award listing, I found Holiday God (and the ones that you mentioned above), but I think that is it.  Now I'll go dig and see if any of these are among the files Scotland sent us

Okidoki, so I didn't have the ones you didn't have, but I do have the Holiday God award, so I can get that fixed right away, the others just may be lost unless someone else has something hidden away somewhere.

I found and uploaded the holiday god one, we can delete the "bought" awards if we want, both are old and we can also upload generic donor ones for the other missing items....or someone can make them again, either way i am not to worried, what ever you guys want to do with them (assuming we dont find them on someones computer, ill ask luci and doc)

Yeah, I saw that (and noticed that the Holiday gold had gotten the holiday god graphic, so I fixed that), thanks for the help. And if it turns out no one has them, we'll consider to delete or what to do with them  since it's not any urgent awards, I'm not too worried to have it fixed right this second

No, for mentor we still require five witnesses to step forward after the nomination is posted. 

On another note, guys, I'll be taking a few days to focus on the staff applications and stuff, so Riiot will be handling things here on the forums side while I deal with that. Obviously this doesn't mean you can't come to me or talk to me, just that I won't be visible in here as much for some days or so.

I am sorry i was unaware that nominators could not be the witnesses as well, nor did i know this has been a rule for 5 years

i found this "AAP staff member will come in and ask for evidence, and thats when your evidence bearers come in!" and that is the most info i found on that subject, I hope i didnt come off as unethical  while making a nomination. I was just unaware. However It is also difficult for a leadership mentor award to have a head of the FTLA to vouch when i was the only head at the time of his tenure and also the nominator. Realistically a lot of those awards are difficult for others to prove or view due to the time frame but as most request a witness not proof it is just touch for me to wrap my head around the nominator not being a witness, i presume it is just a trust issue with nominators but not witnesses...not 100% sure but i am embarrassed that i didnt know this information and that it has been around for half a decade. When i opened and headed up the AAP (or rather OAA originally) this was never an issue. I simply just posted nominations for a dear friend and a long time member which i rarely ever do and apparently it became an issue, so please do not treat them special or me special, deny all awards as necessary, i am not above the law nor am i trying to be...all i did was nominate someone, anything else was not my doing nor should it be assumed.

 

I would like to revisit some of these rules and guidelines and if they are kept at least post them in the rules section to make them a little more apparent... i am sure if i got frustrated and didnt understand that others do as well.
