On another note I have, and I am sure some of you have also noticed the increase in people arguing / down repping staff. I want to assure you all that I follow up on these incidents each time they occur, and if they occur a second time the indivudals will be banned from the department.

I also want to say that I have not banned anyone in my 2 years as Dept head...and would not particularity like to do so.

Now on to this coming up OTMs. I am quite disappointed in the turn out in all honesty, and I want to put it down to the lack of Divisional staff telling their members about it.

I do not blame any of you, I know each and everyone of you are on top form and very busy in both your KSI lives and Personal lives.

However I want to conduct an experiment per say. I want each of us to push out messages and be strong advocates for this months OTMs, and if that is done I would like to see how many people participate in the OTMs overall.

Our record was 57 individuals.

Alright guys,

Today I will post up OTMs, and post the announcement for the new requirement for members to have over 40 posts to participate in the program.

Alright guys;

Due to this you will need to keep an eye on the post counts of witnesses ect as they will not count if under 40 posts.

 

Also OTMs have been posted;

I want to see everyone pull out the stops and encourage our peers to participate.

I also want to make everyone aware I have put into motion the actions that will make the DOTMs useable again.

I will provide more info on that in due course however.

Awesome, also some witnesses are leaving vague descriptions as to why the person the member they are witnessing for has assisted them and it's counted. I was under the impression that "This person has mentored me" was not valid enough to be counted because anyone can say that without actually being helped by that member.

There are different requirements for different awards, and if I understand you correctly it seems you're referring to two different awards. 

For mentor, the core requirement is that the witnesses claim the nominee as their mentor. Additionally we prefer to see descriptive witnesses, but it is not required. 

For member assistance, the core requirement is that witnesses have had questions answered and been assisted that way, meaning that they have to be semi-descriptive and not merely say that they have been assisted. 

For more complex awards though, we do require descriptive witnesses, such as outstanding service awards, as well qualitative awards like drama queen or madmax etc. 

Hope this answers your concerns. If not, I'll gladly sit down and discuss the specific awards as well as go through all the different ones to discuss what we require from witnesses

Ive updated the department rules a wee bit;

"How to claim old .com awards;

This pertains to old members who have awards tied up on the .com site.

The process for this is as follows;

1. Take a screenshot of your awards.

2. PM Them to the current Dept Head of AAP.

3. If any of these are service related you must recount exactly what you did to earn these awards.

4. All awards reissued are at the discretion of the Current AAP Head."

This is at the bottom of the Guide to the AAP dept. Thread.

Alright, the OTM voting closed last night, and I'm happy to say that all staff members voted this time around, and for that I'm very happy! Let's keep this up!

True, I hope you can get the winners posted on the news site? I sent you a pm with a draft of what we'd like in there And as soon as they're up, we'll get the winners awarded too.

Now let's just make sure that we get regular voting done with the same efficiency, and make Scotland proud when he's back from vacation

Haven't had the time to look at the specific statistics yet (submission of the thesis for my master's degree this week is taking precedence over anything non-essential AAP related atm), but if you wait until the weekend I'll get you all an update on all the stats.
