Hey, guys,
The OTYs have been open for almost a week, and we have ONE single nomination. I think we can all agree that this is not good at all. Considering that we have staff at virtually all levels of Clan-ops in here, I really want you guys to do your best to inspire your members to send in nominations, and I also want ALL of you to send in at least one nomination each, simply to set the example for members around you :) from time to time we've had informal expectations on everyone on staff to participate, and now seems like a good time to remind you all. So please, remember that this is what all of our work has been towards, and let's close out 2016 as best as we can! Enjoy your Sunday! :hug:

Word of mouth advertising is HUGE when getting people to participate. Bring it up in parties, games, game nights and meetings. Obviously don't threaten punishment if they don't but spread the word and pitch how important positive reinforcement and award nominations are to creating a positive, rewarding atmosphere in the community!

OTYs have been updated so anyone who has held a position prior to october can be nominated!

Please everyone get messages out there. Include me in them so I know you are doing it! This is going to take a team effort to get the word out as there is 9 days left!

Notice to y'all that the deadline for nominations was rescheduled out... to the 24th. So make sure the new date and modifications to the process are being sent out to the members.

In addition to what Impy said, good job guys on getting your own nominations up there! If you haven't already please do so! 

Members follow their leaders, and you guys are majority leaders!

Super stressing it at every meeting and calling people out for not wanting to recognize the people who work hard for them.

We really have to set the standard as leaders with participation

Word of mouth is the best way to get this information out.

Exactly, don't stress too much though, I don't want anyone forced to do this.

Once again, Scotland has the right words. It's a fine line that anyone involved in any department in KSI had to thread. Finding the right balance, being appropriately enthusiastic and motivating without making members feel it's a requirement is crucial, and can really make or break the collective opinion on a project or department in a squad and division. So go or and promote, but don't "lay down the law". We want all members to see this for the opportunity and honour it is :)

I have been doing the same thing, but I understand Scotland's point. Last week I made it to both LW and WD gens meeting and discussed the importance of OTYs, some rules regarding nominations, and the overall benefit that a nomination can have on the individual members. I know True has expressed this as well but we are strongly encouraging all members to participate, but especially so with the gens and 7 staff. Still 9 days left for nominations so I'm expecting to see more posted in the next week.

@Scotland Funny timing, I was planning on being there as well to explain the news team.

I wouldn't blatantly force someone to do it nor make someone feel like they have to, I simply stress the important of recognizing the work done around you and  the impact being recognized, even if it is simply a nomination, can change someone's world.

Please don't think I'm going around power-housing people into nominating.
