About Me

Hello welcome to KSI. I am a proud General of Plague and enjoy all my people.

are u interested in recruiting members into our community? this is a guide that will help you to ensure you do not leave out any important information that our new members are required to know. You are also going to have to walk your recruit through a couple of things (changing privacy settings, motto, bio). After the recruiting process, your recruit will have to be mentored by a lieutenant or higher. Please take the time to read this information if you decide you would like to help your squad expand.

Undercover evaluation:

If you have found someone that you would like to become part of your squad, you need to make sure your potential recruit meets certain quality expectations that are in line with the code of conduct that we all follow as members of KSI. Play a few games with them before you pop the question (undercover evaluate them). For example, If you happen to run into someone that is talkative and shows good sportsmanship in a multilayer game online. Take the time and ask him/her to join your game party and play together; If that person is game for your request, and asks for an invite, you know automatically that he/she is a team player which is an important characteristic to have as a member of a gaming community.

Following what I said about this potential recruit having shown qualities of being talkative, a good sport, and team friendly, make sure this person is respectful and genuinely fun to play with.

1. Take the time to view your potential recruits gamer profile to see if this person is a member of another gaming league (For example, If I see that my recruit has a bunch of friends in J2H or KSI United, it would probably be a good idea to ask this person about those friends to see if he has any association with those rival communities. If your recruit does have people on his friends list that are from these communities, get permission from a General or higher before you recruit them.

2. Check their gamer score to make sure this person is not using a brand new account, this throws up a red flag because this person could be a rival gamer that is trying to gain access into your squad to poach members. You can do this by checking their gamer score. If it is a low gamer score then you might know that this person is using a new account.

3. If your recruit seems overly-eager to join KSI, this may be someone who is attempting to breach our walls to poach. Tell your recruit to wait a minute, then message a Officer in your squad and inform them of the situation and then send them a party invite so they he/she can assess the situation for him/herself.

Recruiting Guide:

After asking your potential recruit to join your squad and he/she says "yes", follow these steps to properly recruit them into your KSI squad.

Step One:

Before asking your recruit to take care of the following mandatory steps, explain to them what KSI stands for Knowledge, Strength, and integrety.

Knowledge is provided to you, which includes educational programs where you can expand your abilities in multiple areas such as gaming, graphics, web-design and writing skills, which are, published daily on our forums and gaming websites. Strength is given to you with a goal-oriented Ranking Structure that gives you the ability to develop management, multitasking and leadership skills based on increasing our community’s size and teaching others (mentoring) to do the same. You also obtain Integrity with the loyalty you hold towards the community, with the respect, honesty and honor developed through KSI's professional network.

Step Two:

Let your recruit know that we follow a code of conduct and tell them we are a gaming community with a rank structure. You can read the code of conduct and rank structure information to them during the recruiting process if you please, but remember that: UNLESS A OFFICER IS WITH YOU, your recruit will have to hear that information again during the mentoring process with an officer.

Step Three: MOST IMPORTANT! Join a xbox live party or private chat with your new recruit and ask them to go to the dashboard to change their privacy setting. Please view the following link for a complete guide on how to walk your recruit through changing their privacy settings. http://www.ksiforums...security-issue/

Step Four: Walk your new recruit through changing their Motto, Bio, and Clan tag (Getting in uniform). Below I have provided the information and format needed in their bio and motto. Tell your new recruit that the information needs to be

ALL CAPITAL LETTERS!

Motto: KSI (FULL SQUAD NAME) (DIVISION ABBREVIATION) (RANK ABBREVIATION)

Motto Example: KSI Demize DL RCT

Bio: RECRUITED BY KSI (YOUR NAME EXACTLY AS IT APPEARS) (THE CURRENT DATE)

Bio Example: RECRUITED BY KSI ROMAN 7 MAR.30.2012

Clan tag format: (FIRST LETTER OF SQUAD)(RANK ABBREVIATION)

Clan tag Example: DRCT (This example is for a Demize Recruit)

The “Recruit†rank is the first position for newly recruited members of KSI. These members must be encouraged to sign up for KSIGlobal.org and KSIForums.org. This also would be a good time to highlight the benefits of registering on the forums.

Step Five: (Edit: Sorry for the misinformation, the recruit tag is per division not squad) Tell your new recruit to add the divisions recruit tag. The Dark Legions division recruit tag is KSI DL RECRUIT.

Tip: During this process, try to make conversation with them, ask them where they are from, ask them what game types they like to play and try to explain some of the benefits of being in KSI. Some things we do are clan battles, tournaments, game nights (custom games) and meetings. Meetings sure may not sound like fun, but they usually only last about 30 minutes and we do a game night after them. Explain to them that because we are such a large gaming community that follows a military rank structure, these meetings are necessary for us to keep organized.
