"A good plan, violently executed now, is better than a perfect plan next week."
"A good solution applied with vigor now is better than a perfect solution applied ten minutes later."

"By perseverance, study, and eternal desire, any man can become great."
"Do everything you ask of those you command."
"Do more than is required of you."
"Fixed fortifications are monuments to man's stupidity."
"Good tactics can save even the worst strategy. Bad tactics will destroy even the best strategy."
"I always believe in being prepared, even when I'm dressed in white tie and tails."
"I am a soldier, I fight where I am told, and I win where I fight."
"If everybody is thinking alike, then somebody isn't thinking."
"If I do my full duty, the rest will take care of itself."
"In case of doubt, attack."
"It’s the unconquerable soul of man, not the nature of the weapon he uses, that insures victory."

"Live for something rather than die for nothing."
"May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't."
"Moral courage is the most valuable and usually the most absent characteristic in men."
General Patton was respected and disliked, as is every Leader, but he always remembered, you can only be you. These were some of his quotes I would read while deployed, 5 years in the Middle East, to reaffirm that it is ok to model yourself after a man of honor, and the focus is the mission. That intellect, "thinking outside the box," morals, courage, hard work, passion, vigor, doing something instead of nothing, and understand that the pressure you feel in life, is The Lords way of making you a Diamond!
Also, a side note, I strive everyday not to judge, and like people for who they are as an individual. That being said, 11 years active duty, has left marks, and my choice is The Lord. I understand it is not everyones, and I will not recommend it to you, because I am not a Pastor/Preacher/Father, but I do freely explain how The Lord has changed my life, when and only when it pertains or arises in conversation.
